Costly. Food took ages to come. Order was incorrect. Steak tasted like liver. Avoid.

Went with a Groupon Voucher, usually when I use these in restaurants or Hotels it’s not usually been great.This place is different. Really good food, lovely pub/restaurant and good selection with big portions.Good service. The table next to us got the afternoon tea. Very impressive, far more than 2 people could eat. They took loads away in a doggy bag.Even without vouchers they do good prices.

Great service, good gluten free options. We went there on a Groupon voucher and didn't expect much. We were pleasantly surprised. The food was fabulous and good wine choices. We will be back

Very nice food and very friendly staff. Had the carvery and was incredibly nice and fresh and cooked to perfection. Is fairly expensive but you definitely get what you pay for. Parking is fairly limited but there is roadside parking nearby. Pub itself was very nice inside and nice and warm on a very cold day!

Great food, wonderful location, and fantastic staff. It's got a proper old pub feel to it, but with a chef that could be in a Michelin star restaurant. We got a groupon half price deal but I'd go back for full price.

My husband and I had a lovely meal at The Walnut Tree last week. The food was delicious. I recommend the prawns or the mushrooms for the starter as both were good. Good quality pub grub with a good selection of wines. The staff were friendly and welcoming. We will be back.

Had s sunday carvery. Extremely tasty and a lovely pub. Definitely would recommend.

Food was delicious, the only reason I gave only 4 star was the speed of the service. With only one person in the kitchen we waited well over an hour for our starters to come. The waiter was friendly and apologetic and offered us bread and olives to keep us going. Overall we had a lovely evening.

Most of the food was delicious and good value. A few kitchen hiccups! Lovely bright dining room which had a relaxed atmosphere. Could have done with a few more staff on a busy Saturday evening. One of the waitresses was very informative about the dishes on the menu and wine list.

Lovely local pub, I wished I lived in Yalding.

Mussels were overcooked and the ribs were chewey, but credit where credit is due the burger was delicious, just remember if using a Groupon voucher let them know as the staff member serving reacted badly and kept saying you should have mentioned this at tim of booking, in the end I just said if this is s problem then I can go elsewhere to eat, the staff member then took my phone and scanned the coupon, if this is all they need to do then why the dramatics, I for one will not visit this place again. Just not good enough.

Lovely old building, very nice pub

The manager was very welcoming, it was a very quiet evening but some more people came in later. Our food was superb. We will definitely visit again and take some friends.

Visited this hostelry armed with a well known deal voucher. Rather limited lunch menu but food was excellent and a very decent pint of Harveys on tap as well. Staff were welcoming and professional.

Beautiful location and pub, food was substandard. I ordered a cheese and chutney baguette. It came out as 3 lumps of cheese and 1 bit of smushed something in a normal, relatively thin baguette and was nearly ten pounds. Literally couldn't chew it.

Nice food, not a big menu, but long wait for our mains, we waited 1hour 15 minutes for our food.The pub wasn't that busy, the table opposite us were playing dominoes while they waited for Thier bill.I don't think I will be rushing back.

We have had an amazing meal at The Walnut Tree. Everything was perfect. Good food, friendly staff and reasonable prices. What's not to like !

Very recently getting nicer and also more reasonable with price. For a while after the refurbishment was a bit too pricey.

Not good , nearly an hour to get our starters, and a further hour to get our mains. There is something seriously wrong with a chef who cannot prepare more than one meal at a time. Also they had run out of many food lines and countless wines. Try paying your suppliers!

Great carvery. Staff were very friendly and welcoming.

Had a nice visit here for drinks and a snack. Maybe need to try more of their beer range. Service was ok but felt we waiting a while for a scotch egg. Will definitely return and upgrade review if they wow us with good food.

What a lovely pub, good selection of beers and wine. Great staff and nice food. We popped in on a Sunday afternoon to eat without a reservation and the restaurant was fully booked. But they were more than happy for us to sit in the other side of the pub and order off the same menu. Food was fab. Will definitely go back.

Great little pub in the heart of Yalding. The restaurant is spacious and well appointed. The food was cooked to a good standered. The only criticism I have is the cauliflower cheese needed more cheese in the white sauce. Pictured is the carvery.

Food was great, the portions are huge. Dog friendly in the bar.
